We built this 2004 Mercury 250 Pro XS to run strong and keep running. The powerhead is the desirable Gold Block version with proven durability. Compression sits steady at 125 psi on every cylinder — numbers that tell you the rings, pistons, and valves are in excellent condition.
Every one of the 12 injectors was removed, flowed, and tested so fuel delivery is even and efficient. We drained the old gear oil and filled the TorqueMaster Gen 1 lower unit with fresh Mercury gear lube, giving you peace of mind from the first turn of the key. The 20” shaft length fits most 20–25 ft boats perfectly, whether you’re pushing a loaded aluminum work boat or running a fiberglass center console.
